Thea and Vray Plugin issues with sketchup Make 2017

Hi there!
I have a new Mac Pro with an M1 processor, Im trying to download and install a rendering plugin that’s compatible with sketch-up Make 2017. Thea won’t show in extensions, and when I try to install through extension manager that doesn’t work either. I’ve tried downloading V-ray for sketchup (2022 version) but that won’t open either, and sketchup crashes when I try. My 3D warehouse is also not working on sketchup. I would appreciate ant guidance and advice!

Thanks,
Kaileigh

If you are running SU2017 then you must run it (an Intel x64 app) on an M1 silicon machine using the Rosetta emulator. (You might need to install the emulator.)

This also means you need to choose the Intel x64 edition of V-ray and it’s plugin.

See this: Warehouse support

The latest version of V-Ray requires SketchUp 2021 or newer to run. I understand older versions are available.

V-Ray 5 (the latest) works with SketchUp 2017
If you have an older version of SketchUp, you need V-Ray 3.6

SketchUp help says V-ray 5 needs SU 2021 to run
Chaos group says it works with 2017…

Just the emoticon was too short…

Thank you! can confirm it now works !
