The file does not appear to be a SketchUp model

My laptop recently suffered damage, and now I’m trying to recover my SKP files. I tried opening the file, but it says it’s not an SKP model.
Please, it’s my final submission for a course, and I need it urgently.

I downloaded it and got the same message when I tried to open it! I’m sorry I don’t know how to help, just wanted to say that I’m experiencing the same and good luck on your assignment!

The file you uploaded is actually an AutoCAD dwg file that contains the following info.

What sWilliams said. If you rename the file to .dwg, it does import into SketchUp.

FWIW, if you have a hex file viewer, the first six bytes of an dwg file show the app and version that created the file, in this case AC1032. In contrast, the header of a SketchUp file includes the SketchUp version of the file.

One question, can you help me with that name change?
I’ve been looking for tutorials and I still can’t change it. I don’t know how.
