Texture problems

Good afternoon,
When I’m creating a rectangle / circle from the tool bar menu, only one color defaults onto the object before I’ve chosen a color. The default color should be normally white. I tried to redo the problem to upload a file, but isn’t occuring. This problem occurs frequently though.
thanks for any suggestion

I don’t get it, when you draw a rectangle or a circle it has no color or texture, it has just the default color for front and back faces, if you have activated the color by tag option, it will show just the color of the untagged tag, it’s by default white so you won’t be able to notice front and back faces.

sorry for the unclarification. When creating the rectangle or circle, a green texture shows up instantly on the shape before even grouping it or push/pulling it into a 3D form. The default color is always white normally. But the green/forest like texture shows up on the object as soon as the rectangle or circle is created. Its not really a big problem–I just have to open up the textures / paint bucket and change the color back to white or another preferred color taking extra time. I never had this problem, and seems unusual. This is happening within a work project file that I’ve been working on for several months, so the file might have some issues–which the green forest like texture is trying to duplicate another object’s color,

You are probably working within a group/component that you have painted the green colour.
If you paint a group rather than faces everything not painted will take on the colour of the group.

Are you using the quad face tools plugin?

I recall with “Components” option does duplicate colors–so that makes sense. Thanks

The plug-ins and extensions, I’ve limited myself to Lib Fredo, Joint push pull, and few others. The circle / rectangle I’m using is directly from the Sketchup native tool barl. But quad I’ve not used sorry to say. As mentioned, the color doesn’t show up every time and I tried it in a newly openned SKP file, and the texture shows up white inside the rectangle or circle.
I’ll try to upload a file when the problem re-occurs again to have a clearer picture of the problem. The problem isn’t presently showing up, so its difficult to troubleshoot abscent the problem.

Thanks much for the example diagram, I’ll research this.

I see that I might have been within the same group shared by multiple objects of the same color, leading to duplicating the green forest like texture. I’ll upload a screen shot of the file since it is too large to upload as a skp file

Here is a screen shot, the best I can provide for finding the problem. There are alot of green textures in the landscape, but I was sure that the rectangles created were outside the group but maybe not, or if using “Components” then this would cause it.

Hard to know just by looking at a screenshot, you can use wetransfer, Dropbox or any other file sharing service to upload your model and share the link so any of us can check what’s going on with your file.
