Terrain modelling - Adjust selected area of terrain to match slope of a plane i.e

Dear Sketchup Users,

I would like your advice for terrain modelling. I have a plane over my terrain and I would like to move the projected area below the plane up to match the slope of the plane. I used sandbox “stamp” tool which give me the exact effect I want, but I lose the triange/quads detail which would allow me to further shape this area. When I use drape tool I can project the area under the planem which I can than select. Ideally there is a way that I move the area in z-axes but limit to the plane above. This would keep the details.

Any Ideas?
I am already thankful receiving your feedback.
Best, Marcel

What are you actually trying to achieve?

It should look like this in the end. Did it manualy sides are not perfect and no faces, but the flat area has the detail (grid) from the original shape.

You could do something like this…

or like this…

Thanks Mihai, I will try your proposal. I am also wondering if AI can make a Ruby script which takes the z-values of vertecies in a selected area and moves them up until the hit an object which has for each vertex the same x and y values.

Has someone tried this before ?

Best regards

It’s free (for now) to ask AI if it can do this.

But you can achieve this with existing extensions.

another method

It works. Thanks a lot
