Align objects to a terrain (Geolocation)

Dear community,

I´m new here and hope you can help me out with a problem I can´t solve on my own.

I´ve added a geolocation to my model and want to edit the surroundings according to the terrain.
Is there a way to draw something on the flat map and then align this object to the terrain?
For example a grass strip between two roads?

I hope you understand my request.

Looking forward to hear from you guys!
Best regards from Germany
Nate

P.s.: I´m using SketchUp Pro 2019 on Windows 10.

It also depends on what that “grass strip” looks like and what do you mean by “align this object to the terrain”.

Yay, great, thank you! The second option was exactly what I was looking for and couldn´t find.

I was familiar with the first solution, but there I couldn´t give the new area any thickness.

Thanks a lot, also for this fast response!

You can still use the first solution and adapt it to what you need

For PushPull the terrain (area thickness) use Fredo6 JointPushPull, and for the border FollowMe or Eneroth Upright Extruder.
