Tape Measure leaves no guidelines

When using tape measure during operation shows guide lines but when release guide lines disappear. ???

In menu ‘View’ check the box to show guidelines. It is probably off now.

I’m guessing you had a lot of guidelines then? Might want to avail yourself of Edit>Delete guides.
