I am trying to move tags that are not into a folder after changing to Pro 2023. I can not drag and drop them like I used to be able to. Any advice? The official website shows being able to still drag and drop so maybe it is a bug?
Maybe you can share the .skp file so we can see what yoou’re working with. I expect it’s not a bug in SketchUp.
Please update your forum profile as it is clearly out of date now.
You can still drag an drop a tag into a folder on SketchUp 2023 for Windows
I would but the file keeps crashing when I try to open it in 2023. I just switched to 2023 yesterday and the file was made in 2022.
Well, you don’t need to open it in 2023 to share it. Upload it to DropBox and share the link so we can help you sort out the problem.
It opened fine for me in SU2023. And I was able to drag and drop tags into folders.
I note there are a lot of incorrectly oriented faces. There shouldn’t be any visible blue back faces.
Also a lot of incorrect tag usage. ALL edges and faces should be untagged.
And a little bit of unused stuff to purge.
There is also a massive texture image. After the cleanup I did the file size was reduced byt more than 70%. See if you can successfully open the attached version.
By the way, when you installed Sketchup 2023 did you do it correctly? That requires right clicking on the downloaded installer and selecting Run as administrator.
Not sure why the faces are showing inverted. In the original, they were not. I still can’t drag them.

The reversed faces are masked by the materials you’ve applied. Set the face style to Monochrome so you can see them and fix them.
Are you holding the left mouse button as youu drag the tag?
As I asked, did you install SketchUp correctly?
How do I set the face style to monochrome? I can’t seem to find that even after a Google search.
Yes and yes.
In the Styles Edit tab.
Or the Styles toolbar.
So you right clicked on the installer and selected Run as administrator?
Which graphics card is being used to display SketchUp?
Yes. Right Clicked and ran as admin.
