Subscription Chaos!

Hello,
I am writing this post mildly aggravated.
A couple of weeks ago the time for renewing my subscription arrived.
During that time I had a small mix up issue with my bank and I was unable to pay it on time, hoping to resolve the issues prior the “grace period” ends.
Unfortunately, I was not able to do so and my license expired.
A few days after, I managed to solve these problems and went to re-subscribe.

Here it started.
Went to my Trimble ID, to try and purchase a subscription, I realized I do not have this option anymore (no updating, no upgrading, nothing).
I contacted the support and asked them, they told me that once the license expires I would have to buy it again from the online store.
The one main problem is that every time I am trying to enter the “Plans and Pricing” tab, I am being re-directed to a “local distributor” from my country.
This local distributor, asks for an overpriced fee for the exact same product which can be bought directly from the Sketchup online store.
Respectfully, I will not give in to this objectionable behavior and pay over $500 for a subscription plan I can get for $350.

In the previous year (the first time I ever bought a Sketchup subscription), I was able to make the purchase via the Trimble ID directly (upgrade from Sketchup Free plan), unfortunately this time I had no option, which clearly stated that I would either be obligated paying much more or find a different way to buy it from the online store.

I decided to try and use a VPN and gladly it worked, but by the time I managed to sort it out I was unable to afford the pro subscription and reluctantly bought the Go version (in my mind - having an active plan could allow me in the future to upgrade to Pro).

It took me two days to realize that Go is no longer for me and I do need the Pro version.
I tried to contact support and ask them if there is a possibility to change my annual Go to a monthly based Pro plan, which by next month I’ll be upgrading to an annual Pro plan, but there was no response whatsoever (for a few days now).

I decided to take actions and just buy a monthly plan of Pro, and ask for a refund for the Go plan.
I am aware that I might have made a lot of wrong choices so far, but I must continue working, given closing deadlines.

Now, the cherry on top is that the Pro plan I just purchased is not even showing up in my account!
I made the purchase about an hour ago, and at that time it was present right below the Go plan in my Trimble account, yet now it doesn’t, and when I launch Sketchup on my desktop it says that I have to buy it!

I just did!

It is true that I am a contributing factor to this mess, but I do not understand why my Pro license is not available, it has been paid for, received several confirmations and saw it as a statement in my PayPal account.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

that’s odd, I just checked and I can get a sub online despite no being in the US.
where are you located ? (country)

so, if you have annual go and you buy annual pro, it’ll be at a lower price. you’re paying for the difference but only for the remaining month before your renewal.

apparently, monthly is separate from this. you can’t downgrade from an annual to a monthly.

nah, considering you got the go plan less than 2 weeks ago, it’s sound.

did you allocate it to yourself ? when buying a licence, there is a thing that allows you to allocate the licence to yourself, or if you untick it, not to. maybe you’re getting the licence for someone else.
if you unticked it, you’ll have to manually re-allocate it to yourself.

in your account space, do you see several profiles ? (on your left, click on personal account) if so, does one of them has the pro monthly ?

if you click on Members (left), do you see yourself ? click on the three dots (right) to allocate products to yourself.

Yes, I have no idea how many countries go through that same procedure.
Located in Jerusalem (IL).

Yes, I have noticed the reduction in price when upgrading.
Very unfortunate that monthly and annual plans aren’t tethered, could have made it much easier.

Well, luckily I purchased the Go plan less than a week ago, the entire issues started a couple of weeks ago, I will see if it is possilbe to be refunded.
Worst case scenario I just paid $120 for a year, and an extra $50 for a month.
Once the month has finished I will upgrade the Go plan for a reduced price :man_shrugging:

Thank you, it was very helpful!
I was under the impression that it was my wrong doing, not exploring the Trimble account to its deepest realms. As a disclaimer I have started this post saying I am mildly aggravated and apparantely missed a few steps whilst being a tad mad

Much obliged to you good sir.
