SU won't open/ become usable

I can’t tell what version of SU I’m using

look at the sketchup folder in your application folder. the version is on it.

I thought Trimble was kind enough (/s) to provide a support number for SU, but all I could find was their link to the forums.

legend has it that there are no phone lines in the trimble head office.
depending on what version you’re running, there might also be no (more) official support. Trimble only supports the last 3 years, so 26, 25 and 24

Cannot login or access Sketchup since 08/29/25

Apps still open on the old machine wouldn’t affect this machine. There is a file that is used to tell if you are currently signed in. It may be that file is in a confused state. In Finder, choose Go to Folder…, and paste in this path: ~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2025/ Delete the file named login_session.dat. Do the same for older versions of SketchUp, like this is the path for 2024: ~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2024/ Once those are gone try reopening 2025.

might help. quit, try the solution, and restart sketchup.
