Su is very stuck when processing drone point cloud models

When processing the 3D model generated by drone aerial photography, it is very unsmooth. There are usually dozens or millions of grids. Is there any solution

Can you post an example?

Use Skimp to reduce the mesh. Another option ii to use a real point cloud ( no mesh) with scan essentials

I’ll try it.

and this, when I want to design the PV power station in the point cloud model, it is very stuck.

It seems you may be replying using your phone… cut the tail off your replies because it’s being repeated when it’s displayed in the forum.

What is the photogrammetry software you are using?

It looks like you’re using OBJ or FBX (mesh) models and not point clouds.

yes, I converted obj to skp. It must be wrong that I keep calling point cloud

Yes, mesh models are different from point cloud models.

The obj isn’t ‘converted’ as much as it is imported. As @rtches pointed out, you can use other software to reduce the number of triangles in the mesh. That will be smoother and easier for your computer to handle but you’ll lose detail.

A point cloud would be more accurate (if it’s a good one).

If your photogrammetry sofware has an option to create point clouds, you could try those. Or, you may have options to create meshes with fewer triangles.
