SU 2024 crashes while exporting animation

This won’t serve my purposes. Ambient occlusion is important to the graphical products I need to create. I also don’t want to pay for a product that I’m not getting. Are there other options?

I gave you the link in the previous post. Here it is again (bookmark it):

Click the line for the major yearly version and you will see the releases.
(This will reveal that 24.0.594 is the build for the latest 2024.0.2 release.)

SketchUp is a subscription license. You can have several versions installed side-by-side on the same machine. (Because I do testing, I happen to have 8 versions installed.)
But we have limits as to the number of sign ins per license. SketchUp will tell you if you’ve tried to sign in to too many versions (on the same machine or multiple machines.)

The only other thing (besides what I mentioned about camera type) I can think of that may be interfering is perhaps textures that are too large. There are some extensions that will optimize textures.

unrelated. the problems you’re mentioning are about artifacts appearing during export. this here is about the export stopping before the end.

I understand you’re frustrated by the situation, but no need to vent it out again and again in threads about animations.

off topic stops.

would it work if you didn’t export as much at once ?

back a… decade ago I had a couple of architecture students who were trying to do a massive visit video. they had a few hundred scenes in their animation, and as expected, the export was hell
after a couple of tries, they ended up borrowing a few more machines, duplicating the file and only exporting a set amount of scenes at a time, rebuilding the final video in movie maker or something.

since with Dan’s settings you seem to almost make it, could you try exporting half and half see if it works ?
