I did this one of a Art Deco Building. Modelled in SU rendered in Twinmotion.
If you don’t want to leave Sketchup, maybe you should try Enscape. They also have come a long way. And what makes it interesting for me: it’s very fast.
Stevo1 , Excellent renders
You do not have to do all the work in Twinmotion if you wish, you can do all the work in Sketchup if you want and just render it TM. However you will find that you will end up doing minimal work in SU and a lot of work in TM organically
I know, I’ve been teaching su since 2018 and the other 22
But for some people who just started, it can be hard to understand, and your before / after photos are quite good imo
Yep, TM has been my goto viz app for a number of years now, it has improved beyond recognition since 2019 and is updated regularly in line with UE versions. It’s simple to pick up & the SU > TM design iteration workflow is great, even cross platform. I do all my SU and initial TM work on my Mac but the heavy project lifting and renders on my PC as the Mac only supports software Lumen currently and no Pathtracing. Its also now super stable (which it didn’t use to be)
I agree with all of that,It is crazy that it is fully free even for commercial work. Once it gets smartgrass it will be the go to, killer app and you would be crazy to use anything else IMHO
for an annual income < 1M$ that is
To be fair, I do pay for the commercial version as I use TM Cloud quite a lot for client linked Pano’s and anim sequences etc
but I used to use VRay before TM so kinda the same
Yeh shame I have to pay for it
These are amazing! i havent been able to replicate this level of realism in TM.
how much time do you spend on TM on the lighting, materials and adding props etc relative to the time spent on SU for modelling for each project??
Thank you From starting to do the sketchup model; to a finished render I don’t usually count the time but I would say 9 hours on average to the finished render. I am still learning I play with countless settings and multiple HDRI skies and sun position I wold suggest “approaching storm” for a start. Then experiment with others HDRI’s they are the difference between an average render and a good render. I think I would spend on average 50% on modelling and 50% on rendering. I have not timed myself but that feels about correct
Hi Guys, just did a render using a model from 3D warehouse (Desired space) The garden plants may look strange but I used plants native to West Australia a very remote place so have been isolated and evolved for millions of years. It is a western Australian low water garden
