Stacking or connecting components?

Hello! I’m working on my first project and learning as I go so apologies…

(Interior base for a hutch built into a closet)

I started the unit by making the first board, component A. Added boards and saved as component A1. Copied (M, CTRL), moved up the blue axis to set the copy on the top of the boards on the original. Brought the edge down to touch the face as well as I could. Saved as Base.

It SHOULD measure 62" wide. It’s coming in at 62 3/4". I haven’t yet learned the terminology well enough to know what to search for.

Also, my thought process is to model the drawers in the same rendering then hide the base to make the cut list for the drawers. Is that correct?

Thank you, I’m grateful ya’ll are here!!

It would be helpful to be able to see your .skp file. I suspect there’s some incorrect use of components. It doesn’t look like you have components for the rails but have just included loose geometry with the side panel component.

Sounds like you haven’t accounted for the thickness of the center divider panel.

Well, most likely you don’t need to hide anything. Just select the drawer components.
