SketchUp White Screen on Startup Not Loading Properly

Hi everyone,

I recently installed SketchUp 2024, but when I launch the software, all I get is a white screen with no menus or tools loading. The program seems to be running in the background, but the interface remains completely blank.

I have tried updating my graphics drivers, reinstalling SketchUp, running it as an administrator, and switching between my integrated and dedicated GPU, but the issue persists.

Iam using Windows 11 with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU. Everything was working fine in SketchUp 2023, so Iam not sure if this is related to a new update or a graphics compatibility issue.

Has anyone else faced this problem? Are there any known fixes, such as resetting SketchUp settings or adjusting graphics preferences? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Steps I recommend to do:

Make sure you have a latest NVIDIA Driver. Dont trust on Windows updates, go to the NVIDIA site or use NVIDIA app to update the driver.

Download a latest SketchUp installer from Download All | SketchUp | SketchUp. Important: right click on an installer file and chose Run as administrator, when prompted chose Repair.
(I advise to restart your computer before and after installation)

In the new Graphics section of the Preferences window check (Graphics Engine Details) if SketchUp using your Nvidia card.

You can also try to switch back to classic graphic engine , in a same Graphics section of the Preferences window. (You need to restart SketchUp to take effect)

The welcome screen is showing a web page, and there could be network issues that leads to seeing a white screen. It doesn’t matter on Mac, you can close that window and open a file from the File menu. On Windows I’m not sure that would work out, but you could try launching SketchUp by opening an existing document.
