SketchUp Viewer not responding when I try and open file OS 11.1


I just downloaded SketchUp Viewer to my 2020 MacBook Air and I am trying to view a file in my Dropbox folder and it won’t open. I’ve waited for 5 minutes then I click on the SketchUp icon and it says “Application Not Responding”

Done this 5 times and it’s not working. Deleted the application and reinstalled it.

Any ideas?


How big is the file you are trying to view?

It’s 325 MB

I just opened a file that was over 500 MB, in about 20 seconds.

Are you able to try the file local instead of on Dropbox?

Thanks. Yes. I tried that and it didn’t help. I am going to restart my computer and see if that fixes it.
