Are your image resolution for working set to high? Is it set to high for output?

You can adjust this in document settings for rendering.

despite adjusting, yes, it’ll always look lower quality in layout. same in other similar softwares like indesign.

this is so you can actually work in layout without it taking fire. it shows a lower res preview, and when you export, you pick what resolution you actually want.

Hi, Ive set both to high but the quality is still low and doesn’t look very good when I print out for my client . Any help appreciated

Did you print or export?

yes I’ve printed and the quality isn’t great. I’m going to send it to the printers to see if that improves it.

I just don’t know why when I zoom in on sketch the image is clear yet in sketch its blurred.

Did you go to File > Export to PDF?

Maybe also press options and check this? (Edit: It should be off)

And to be clear:

For best quality, JPEG Compression should be left unchecked. It produces ugly artifacts especially from raster rendered SketchUp views that have visible edges, profiles and areas of uniform colour. JPEG compression is designed to be used on photographs.

Agree!! I corrected my post. It should be as I show it, unchecked.

Of course, unchecking compression leads to quite big PDF files as the images then use only PNG compression. I have found that then using the optimization functions in a PDF editor can greatly reduce the file size with little impact on quality.

That is generally what I do when I render Raster or Hybrid - Export, then use a PDF editor to reduce file size.

Thanks everyone for your help. I’m not quite there but will continue trying !
