Hi, when I send to layout, the quality of the model decreases significantly, it didn’t used to any advice on how I can rectify this ? different parts of model shown, but you can see the difference in clarity Thanks
despite adjusting, yes, it’ll always look lower quality in layout. same in other similar softwares like indesign.
this is so you can actually work in layout without it taking fire. it shows a lower res preview, and when you export, you pick what resolution you actually want.
For best quality, JPEG Compression should be left unchecked. It produces ugly artifacts especially from raster rendered SketchUp views that have visible edges, profiles and areas of uniform colour. JPEG compression is designed to be used on photographs.
Of course, unchecking compression leads to quite big PDF files as the images then use only PNG compression. I have found that then using the optimization functions in a PDF editor can greatly reduce the file size with little impact on quality.
