I just purchased a subscription to Sketch up ‘Shop’. Why don’t I have all of the Menus shown in the tutorials? I am missing the main menu on the top edge of the screen.
This was the only reason I stopped using the free software; the ‘Shop’ version looks exactly the same.
The tutorials were likely showing the UI for the desktop version. The web versions have most of the same capabilities, but the UI is arranged differently and mostly uses tabs/trays along the edges of the window instead of menus.
All of the SketchUp for Web versions look the same. The Shop version has additional features compared to the free version. See

To get the conventional UI with a proper menu you need to use one of the desktop versions I’m afraid.
