Sketchup required access to Google Drive?

Hi,

I would like to know, when we add Sketchup in marketplace from G Suite Admin console. Then login to Sketchup web, it asking permission to add, view, delete all Google Drive files. Can someone let me know why Sketchup required google drive access? I need to clarify my IT Administrator before we proceed enable for all teachers and students. Refer attached screenshot

Hey Faizal,

When a student saves a model, SketchUp for Schools uploads it to Google Drive. Similarly, to browse and open saved models, SketchUp for Schools needs the ability to read files from Google Drive. All the modeling is done on your own machine so SketchUp for Schools can avoid sending student data anywhere but Google itself.
