Hi-

SketchUp does the best it can to open files, but sometimes there’s a problem that can’t be automatically recovered. If you have auto-save enabled, you may be able to recover most of your work by opening the most recent auto-saved version of the file.

If the file is something that you can share, you can post it here and someone may be able to determine what’s wrong. It would also be helpful to know what version of SketchUp you’re using, and what OS you have.

If you have a repeatable way to make a file corrupt, we’d be very interested to hear about it as well.
