SketchUp Pro 2017 not recognizing current 2016 license

(2017 license issue) - With our current SketchUp Pro 2016 license we have maintenance and support agreement valid thru 08/18/2017. Today, I downloaded SketchUp Pro 2017 and when prompted copied and pasted our authorization number and license. Was not able to complete registration and redirected to license wizard where I did the same. Still not able to register. Please advise. I can still use 2016 in interim.

Did you copy the info from SU 2016? That won’t work - licenses are version-specific. You will need to get a new license for 2017 from Trimble SU customer support. This should be covered by your maintenance and support agreement.

thanks … I’ll have a look … I just looked at the license and authorization code and the valid thru date which I assumed meant valid thru 8/2017 … thanks for the quick reply … MMay

Just for info sake: that is the date through which your support and maintenance is valid, it does not mean that the license itself will work on SU 2017.
