I have renamed the textures in my file explorer folder, but they arent updating in sketch up even after re-opening the collection, how do I make it update? see attached images for what the texture is meant to be called and what sketchup is calling it.
hello, the name of the skm file doesn’t determine the material name in sketchup.
What you have to do to update the name :
add it to your model (right click on a material in the collection > add to model),
go to the model material list, change the name under the material preview,
right click on it in the list and save as… Overwrite the .skm file in the collection folder
