Hi everybody 
Does anyone know how much Sketchup Make costs ? The reason I ask is that Sketchup Pro costs $700+, And, I found out that Sketchup 8 is being phased out, and rendering plugins no longer work with Sketchup 8 anyway.

Make is free for non-commercial usage. It also comes with a free trial of Pro

The last time I downloaded Sketchup Make, it stated this was the trial version, which lasts for 30 day. So Sketchup Make ISN’T free software. I looked on the Trimble website for the purchase price, but only the Pro version was priced…at $700.

You either mistakenly downloaded Pro or misunderstood the Pro trial period that comes with Make. Make offers all the Pro features for 30 days and then disables them. You can continue to use the Make features for free.

SU Make is Free but it is also Licensed for non-comercial use of any kind…
most plugins will work with Make even if when they are not Free themselves…
you will get a Welcome screen everytime you run Make, but that’s a small price to pay for an eligible user…
it also lacks some Pro Importers, some Pro Tools, LayOut, Style Builder and the ability to create Dynamic Components…
There are other free 3d programs that allow comercial use, but they can be harder to master or inferior in there potential…
If you fit the criteria than Make is still a powerful option…
alternatively, you can stick with v8 Free for Commercial use and only run old plugins…
