I am using make 2017 and am managing quite well but my use of the pushpull tool has been very useful but now it is giving a hollow rather than a solid pushpull so what have I done?
It would help to see your model so we can be specific but,
Pushpull on a single face will make an enclosed form, but when the face is within another face it will remove the face, or you can tap ctrl to add the original face back in.

@Farmerbill42, notice the + sign in @Box’s outstanding gif, due to hitting the [Ctrl] key (to toggle the copy function on)
This copy function also works when applying the ‘Move’ tool
