Sketchup is using all my ram when select RTX to rendering

My specs:
[AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4GHz
[Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz PC4-25600 32GB 2x16GB CL16]
[Samsung 870 QVO SSD 1TB SATA3
[Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Twin Edge LHR 12GB GDDR6]

When y try to render selecting a RTX option. Sketchup use ALL ram over 99% which makes it impossible to work with the pc while it becomes excessively slow.
And the GPU is not even in use. It only makes use of some of the CPU and ALL of the ram.

How can I force it to render with the CPU and GPU or to use more of the GPU?

I have Windows 10

I using sjetchup 2022 and vray 5

@NVIDIA_Manuel can you help me with this? Thanks!!

I assume you’re talking about vray rendering.

You can either render with CPU, GPU, or both

Check vray help to select rendering devices

Yes, I know where CPU is selected - CUDA or RTX.
But when I select RTX it uses all the RAM and part of the CPU. But the GPU usage stays at 0%. When it’s supposed to be the only thing to use, the GPU if you select RTX

hybrid rendering is only available with Cuda, not RTX (yet)
select Cuda, then the 3 vertical dots and check both CPU and GPU

Yes i know how to select both.
But i want to only render with rtx. But when i select it, vray dont use GPU. Use RAM, all RAM and CPU

it uses ram and CPU when it builds the scene, but once done, it should use the GPU.

Launch an interactive rendering, orbit and see if GPU’s still not used ?

run tests on lighter models if needed

If your model is heavy the scene building phase might take a long time.

Now i have this problem when i try to render with RTX.
Could not allocate buffer of size 2103MB!

My RTX is 3060 with 12GB GDDR6

@Anssi @paul.millet

your scene is probably too heavy and you’re running out of VRAM. try removing displacement if you have, work with components if you don’t, or turn complex objects into proxies
