Sketchup Free and Glue to

The glue to for components does not work for me in Sketchup Free. I try to put items on the wall and they do not line up with the wall like they do in Pro.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Assuming you have set the glue to attribute when you made the component. Perhaps you are expecting that first instance to have gluing properties? It does not. Bring in a new instance from the component browser to get glue to properties.
