It’s a bit odd to run SketchUp for Schools (which is web browser based) on an iPad. There’s a dedicated iPad version of SketchUp which would function better, but I don’t know if they have any academic offerings for SketchUp for iPad.
Otherwise, the web browser on an iPad would work better if you use it like a pseudo-laptop with an iPad keyboard and mouse.
Good catch, I assumed they were using the iPad app and not expanding the measurements window by touching it. But if the OP is trying to use the free version on a web browser on iPad that could account for all sorts of odd behavior.
With Scketchup for Schools (which is web browser based as RTCool said), the measurements bar is located in the bottom right corner. When I touch it, no keypad appears …
Many thanks @RTCool & @endlessfix, I think you’re right, the online version and the iPad don’t mix well. I would have thought the keypad would appear when clicking in the measurement bar.
Unfortunately, the school provides an iPad to every student without keyboard or mouse.
