sketchup crashes during using offset tool repeatedly
im using 2024 sketchup and always when i’m using a same offset for same geometries a little bit fast it crashes
it does not related on my file because i tested empty space and it did crashed again
it crashes on all types of geometries(triangle,circle,…)
im using i5-1320 and rtx 4050 laptop
maybe it’s a bug that was fixed in a later version of SketchUp.
Does it do it if you run the latest version?
Is it a cr acked version of SketchUp?
Upgrade to 2026. You can even keep your old version installed to make sure everything works well in 2026. The files are all interchangeable.

I can confirm this problem as well. It’s been a consistent bug since at least sketchup 2024. Currently on 2026 Pro, not cracked. Windows 11, always current version. Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 card. Repeated use of this tool will cause a crash 100 times out of 100. I have sent out mutiple crash reports on this over the years and it is yet to be fixed.
Hi @EliteBrian, thanks for the post. Can you list a few bugsplat report numbers? Maybe one of our other team members can look at the reports and see if they can find a common factor between the reports?
I would test it myself and see if I could log things for you but I am on a Mac at the moment and will not be back home until later this evening. Once I am home though I will be able to run some test on a Windows computer though so even if you do not have bugsplat numbers I may be able to reproduce the error if you can let me know any details I need to know to cause it.
