Pessoal, também procuro a certificação oficial do Sketchup. Sou usuário e professor do Sketchup 2018 e gostaria de uma certificação para atestar meus conhecimentos para o mercado. Vi aqui que não existe uma certificação oficial, mas aqui no Brasil o site https://sketchupbrasil.com/produto/avaliacao-para-a-certificacao-profissional-oficial-sketchup-trimble/ está vendendo essa certificação. Isso é uma fraude ou é real? Podem me ajudar? Agradeço muito.
Guys, I’m also looking for official SketchUp certification. I am a user and teacher of Sketchup 2018 and would like a certification to attest my knowledge to the market. I researched how you guided. There is only one reseller in Brazil and this is not the one I indicated in the post. Can I consider that it is not official? Is it a fraud?
I’m not sure. fraud might be too strong. I would question what backing their “certification” has. Since Trimble doesn’t seem to offer an official certification for SketchUp, who would recognize as valid the certificate that site offers? Would it be any better than if I make up a certificate for you? (I can’t give you any sort of certificate that means anything but I could make one that looks pretty.)
It looks like they want the equivalent of $72US. That’s pretty cheap for a real certificate but a lot of money for a scrap of paper with your name in fancy script.
You are absolutely right. Even I could make a fancy certificate. I know the word “fraud” may seem heavy, but I do not think it’s fair to fool other people by charging for a certificate that may not exist. Anyway, what I want to know is if there is an official Trimble certificate. I have a lot of interest in being a certified instructor, but by a true Trimble licensed organization. As for the site I’ve pointed out, I expect innocent people will not pay for a very expensive piece of paper with their name printed on it. Kkkk.
SketchUp (Trimble) works with official Partners outside America. Most Partners are the Distributor of SketchUp for their region and they often work with a network of resellers.
A Partner can authorize training centers in their region, for they know ‘the local market’.
Note: a certification doesn’t release you from your responsibility to do outstanding work in the field😃
