Sketchup campus - can't access courses

Hello Chris,

Thank you, but it’s still not working. Here’s what happens with four browsers.
(Last week I did go thru and clear caches etc. Nothing changed except maybe the log-in panel appearing, that’s it)

Chrome – No Log-in panel appears. Never a chance to log in at all.

Opera – The Log-in panel does appear, and I do get the Verification Code email with the number. But after entering it, I’m back at the same page without any indication that anything is different. No log-in acknowledgement or anything. I’m then limited to clicking back and forth between the top two pages in an endless loop as it were. No active links down in the course content area.

Edge – Same as Opera. Top two pages only.

Firefox – Same as Opera & Chrome. Top two pages only.

Needless to say, this is quite exasperating, I’ve wasted a decent amount of time trying this over and over.

(A couple of weeks ago however, I logged in several times to complete the Sketchup and Scan Essentials courses over a couple of days. Nothing complicated at all, nothing really to notice about navigating the pages to download the content and view the modules.

So, what to do?

Thanks

John

Do you have content blockers / ad blockers running in your browser or on your system?

Hello,

Thought of that this morning, since we’ve had internal web courses where we had to unblock popups to use the sites.

In MS Edge I just went thru and deleted all cookies related to Sketchup, added “Learn.sketchup.com” to the list of sites, and unchecked “Blocked” as default behavior. (see below)

When I click “Login” at the top right, no Log-in panel appears and what I get is a message I’ve seen before –

SketchUp Campus

I have no idea what’s going on…

I will try do do the same with Chrome.

John

Hello Mike,

Just did the same with Chrome – removed cookies and added Learn.sketchup.com to allow popups.

I’m getting the same https://learn.sketchup.com/?kind=validation&message=Validation+failed%3A+Email+has+already+been+taken

Needless to say, this is really ridiculous. I have never had such trouble on any other website over the years.

So, a few questions –

When a user enters the email verification code, what new screen or indication is supposed to appear? How does the user know if they are successfully logged in?

What does this “already taken message mean?

And what’s the story with the very first FAQ about Campus log-in troubles?

I’m running Zscaler, I can try to shut it off.

I am just a regular person… and I don’t use the campus regularly, so I don’t know. We need a SKP team member to answer these questions - as I just logged in and everything went fine to enroll and start a course.

Roger that Mike,

Not sure who all is seeing this stuff, I do have a ticket opened.
Strange to me though that it seems as if this is all totally new to everyone, though records show it dates back to 2022, and the FAQ mentions some sort of identified (and fixed?) Campus login trouble…

Standing by for next steps….

Did you turn off Zscaler… like I said - I have no problem logging in via my Mac and Safari.

I did that, no difference.

The weird thing is, as I mentioned, that Campus access was easy before, didn’t really even have think about it, it was straight forward.
Went thru two courses, logging in multiple days, no problem at all.

But now, for two weeks I’m dead in the water. I’m sure it’s a system problem on the Campus side; it just needs to be identified and fixed…

Or because there aren’t a lot of other posts about it - something changed on your end… but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Can you try another computer / laptop / tablet / phone?

Good update just now, got this from Support -

”The Support team was able to reset your SketchUp Campus account completely. Please sign in using our direct link “learn.sketchup…” Once on the site, please try to sign in using the top right button before attempting to enroll in any courses. “

Everything works smoothly now, and I can re-enroll in courses.
The main page did not ask for a login but opened immediately with a placeholder “John John” account profile.

I’ll leave all that alone and not close out the session either

So looks like I’m back up and running

Huzzah! and thanks everyone for the help!

Glad that you’re back in business!
Have a happy New Year and lots of SketchUpping!

Glad to hear you are back in business, let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks! I wonder…. Has anyone modeled the Time Square Ball?

Hello Chris,

Thanks for the help. Weird problem. It was a little crazy-making for me.

So, I’m currently logged in to the current Campus site with a place holder account set up by Support group.
(It appears that Option 1 has already been done, and I’m re-enrolled in several classes)

But I’ll gladly move over to the new platform, and I’m looking at it now.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Regards

John M
