Sketchup Cameras

I may be late to the party on this one, but I’d like to know if anyone uses the cameras pallette in SU and if so, what are the advantages/disadvantages of using them, where can I find some sort of tutorial on using them and if using the cameras is much better for producing final rendering views.

This is one aspect of SU that I never really got into, I tried them out once, got confused and just dropped the idea. More often than not, I set up a view the way I like it, save it in a tab and leave it at that, but if the cameras feature can create a better, and possibly more realistic scene, I’d love to know what others do.

Cameras and Advanced camera tools do not change the rendering quality, the model styles look the same as the normal scenes options. They allow for specific repeatable positioned views that include detailed real world camera options and information as well as the location of the camera. They are generally for folks in the film and tv industry making storyboards using specific camera types.
