SketchUp 2026.0 for Desktop (MAC) - System Requirements

On your help page, there is macOS12(Monterey) for 2026’s system requirements.

https://help.sketchup.com/en/sketchup/system-requirements

But I can’t excute SketchUp 2026.0 for Desktop on my MacBookPro (Monterey).

Is the Monterey not suport for SketchUp 2026?

This is from the system requirements page you posted:

“Mac OS 15 (Sequoia), 14+ (Sonoma), 13+ (Ventura), 12+ (Monterey)”

So Monterey should be supported..

I have Ventura 13.7.7 on a 2017 Macbook Pro (Intel). So far, SU 2026 doesn’t run on this configuration.

That support page still hasn’t refreshed. Working on it internally, but…

We added official support for Mac Tahoe this release, keep an eye on the Hardware/Software requirements for that update. With tha though, we are also officially dropping support for Monterey in this release. This doesn’t mean SketchUp won’t work, it just means we wont be addressing any Monterey specific bugs in this and future versions. It should still run in Monterey but we recommend updating to a newer OS.

Theres something odd going on with your config in general Im hoping we can get to the bottom of it.

I use a 16" MacBook Pro M3 Max with 128 MB of RAM. Can you guarantee that SketchUp 2026.0 and Layout 2026.0 will be fully compatible with macOS Tahoe on my Mac?

I am currently running macOS Sequoia, and if I upgrade to macOS Tahoe, I would prefer not to have to downgrade to Sequoia afterwards.

Thank you in advance,

Best regards,

Hervé

I cant officially guarantee anything as system environments are all unique and we cant make those kinds of broad statements. In our testing we did not see any major issues, that said, if you want to be on the safest side of things, I recommend running SU 2026 in the current OS you have, and waiting to upgrade to Tahoe until you feel completely comfortable doing so.

Is SketchUp working now?

Is the other software that you use daily for work working?

Do you need Tahoe for a specific important reason?

If your answers are Yes, Yes, and No - don’t upgrade.
