SketchUp 2024 vs. SketchUp Pro 2022

I ordered the Pro plan and downloads provided include Pro 2022 and “non-pro” 2024. What’s the difference? Do I need to download 2022 version first and is 2024 an upgrade to that earlier version?

It used to be that the desktop version of SketchUp was identified as Pro (and way back there was a Make version for hobby use but that’s no longer available). Then they dropped Pro for the name and so it’s just SketchUp 2024. There’s a Pro subscription or you can have a Studio subscription.

You don’t need to install SketchUp 2022. Just install SketchUp 2024.

SketchUp 2024 is not a “non-pro” version.

Please update your forum profile. It says you are using “Free Plan” 2024. The Free Plan is for the web based version for hobbyist users. It does not include access to the desktop version.

Dear Trimble Marketing,

PLEASE, be kind enough to update your download page with this little tidbit. As a new subscriber I 've spend over an hour downloading 2022, upgrading to 2023, and getting worried that I will be stuck using software over a year old.

I am sure, this is NOT the user experience your product owners want!
