Last night, I built a model and rendered it with Enscape. I kept saving intermittently and eventually shut down the program. This morning, it won’t open anymore. A window pops up saying, “Documents could not be opened.”
ChatGPT suggests that I look for a backup file. Unfortunately, none was created, and there’s nothing in
C:\Users<YOUR_NAME>\AppData\Local\SketchUp\SketchUp 2024\SketchUp\Autosave.

yes, but it has 33MB. To much for Gmail..
The SKB would be in the same folder as the SKP, not in the autosave folder. To try the SKB you only need to rename it, so that the new names ends with SKP, then it should open.
If you want us to look at the files you could upload the SKP and SKB to a file sharing service, or to Google Drive or Dropbox. Make sure to get a link you can share to anyone. Don’t use an option that requires a spefic email address.
I use wetransfer.com for most times I send a file. If you go there you do not have to sign up, you only have to agree to their terms. After that, when you get to the screen where you can add your files, look for these dots:
Clicking the dots lets you change from Send email to Create link.
