Sketchup 2021 crashes when hitting ^ key (azerty french keyboard)

SketchUp seems to crash consistently when I do the following:

  1. Open SketchUp
  2. Draw a rectangle
  3. Select it
  4. Pressing ^ key instead of the P shortcut
  5. Sketchup crashes.
