The only advice I can find is to click File > Import.
There is no file menu on the https://edu.sketchup.com
If I click on the Imports/Exports it just says “you don’t have any pending import or export jobs” but I can’t click on anything here.

I don’t have a way to sign into the schools version, but if it’s similar to Shop, try clicking on the icon with the document, arrow, ground icon, and see if there is an Insert option.
Drag and drop may work too.
