Since photo texture is longer available, what's the best process?

Since photo texture is gone, how are people getting textures for building walls, etc.

I mean I can go to GE and copy a street view image, crop it and make it a texture.

Any other ideas?

I haven’t read the Google Maps EULA but I suspect using screenshots from it is prohibited. You probably have to either take photos yourself or look into Wikimedia Commons and other sources with more liberal licenses.
