Can someone tell me how to “unsoften” edges on certain models in the 3D warehouse? Specifically, models of Sub-Zero refrigerators or Kohler plumbing fixtures have very soft edges that don’t show up when placed in my model or in Layout. I’ve tried showing “View Hidden Geometry”, then highlighting all the edges and hitting “Soften/Smooth Edges”, but it doesn’t turn them into hard edges.
Probably hidden edges rather than softened.
Select and unhide.
Or upload an example for someone to give you a better answer.
Thanks! That worked.
I think @Box has it in one. This Sub-Zero fridge has a lot of hidden edges.
Turn on Hidden Geometry in the View menu. Edges that show as fine dotted lines are hidden. Dashed edges will be softened.
BTW, there are a bunch of these components from the same supplier that have hidden edges. They also show as geolocated which doesn’t make any sense. Before you use these in your project, download them into a separate SketchUp file. Unhide the edges as needed and remove the geolocation. Then copy and paste into your project.
FOut of curiosity I looked up the location of this fridge. It’s located in what looks like a tidal flat in Abu Dhabi.
