Shared account

I have an accont which allows for 2 users

If my employee does something in her account should she be able to share it with me so that I can make changes

So you have a 2 seat license? Or Just a Pro subscription that allows one user to use two instances of SketchUp?

A normal Pro subscription is for only one user. It is not to be shared among multiple users.

Please correct your forum profile. The operating system and graphics card information are not right.

I there I have 2 seat license for sketch up pro

I do not know where to find out what my operating and graphics information would be

You can do that using Trimble connect.

If you have an apple computer you are using MacOS, if not you’re probably using Windows.

what can I do. Can I look at anything that she has developed.

Im using MacOS.

If someone sends you something that they have done on a dell program on sketchup can I upload and be able to make changes.

The operating system doesn’t matter. A SketchUp file is a SketchUp file.

Please correct your forum profile with the operating system and graphics card information.

I have a business license and I have 2 seats. Myself and she has a seat. She sent me what she developed for one of my clients but I want to have it in my seat as well so I can make changes to it. Is this possible.

Im sorry not very computer literate

Perhaps you can show a screenshot of the License page in SketchUp to help clarify what you’ve got.

If you are sent a .skp file you should be able to open it.

Is there any way I can go into her license and grab the file, There is something not right with her not sending me my files.

No. The file isn’t saved in her “license”. She should be saving it on her computer and then she could email it to you or copy it to a USB memory stick and give that to you.

We’re still trying to figure out your license thing to sort out how things should be working for you. There is no legitimate “Business Edition” license.

I have received in it an email from her. how can I upload it to my sketch up

If it’s a SketchUp file you should be able to download it onto your computer from the email and then open it in SketchUp.

You seem to be ignoring my questions. I’m trying to help you but you aren’t making it easy.

Also you still haven’t corrected your forum profile with the operating system version or graphics card.

Im sorry I am not sure where to find my forum profile and graphic card information. Where do I look for this information.

First in SketchUp, go to Help>Manage Licensing and make a screen shot to share in a reply.

For the operating system, and graphics card information, type ‘system’ in the taskbar search window. You should be able to find that information.

To correct your forum profile, click on the C in the teal circle at the top right of the forum page. Click on the person icon, then Preferences and then Profile. Put the right information in the fields and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Save button.

Is the taskbar in my sketchup or trimble, I am sorry I still cannot find the information you are looking forward with respect to system and graphic card

It’s in Windows at the bottom of the screen.

You should remove that image. It shows your email addresses and there are people who harvest those for not so nice purposes.

Based on what it shows, though, your colleague should be able to send you the .skp file in an email and you should be able to open it in SketchUp on your computer. You could also set up a project in Trimble Connect with both of you as members and then save the SketchUp file to the Project so the other person can access it.
