Selecting by Colour

Hello

I’m working with a large model at the moment and nothing is grouped. I’d like to be able to select by the back colour so I can reverse the faces. Is that possible?

Thank you.

You can right click on any face and >select>all with same material. Unfortunately this does not work with the default color, which is really more a lack of material. It would not help you much if it did because it would equally select the reversed faces because they have the same material on the other side and it’s not possible to select only one side of a face. Any chance you could post the .skp file you are working with to see how best help.

There are some Extensions to do this “job”.

For example:
FredoTools | SketchUcation
This collection of plugins contains two tool to do reversing :
ReverseOrientFaces : Interactively revert and orientate faces
AutoReverseFaces : Automatically perform the alignment of face orientations

You can also search for other Plugins and try:
SketchUp Plugins | PluginStore | SketchUcation

How could this happen?
