School District 2025 Classic License

I teach at a high school and we just got updated to 2025 for the SketchUp Pro License. It looks like its a classic License but we don’t have access to anything that is new because it keeps saying we are required to have a subscription plan. Are these two different things, and if so, are schools not allowed to access any of the new features even though we are using SketchUp Pro?

The school classic licenses give access to the installed software itself - not to the paid web services.
Likewise it doesn’t give you access to the full version of SketchUp for Web, SketchUp for i.Pad as well as the paid mapping features such as add location.

For those you need to buy the higher education subscription packages which are per student.

It may be different per country, but I think that broadly sums it up.

Yes, they are different. A classic license doesn’t include some features. Some things only need you to be signed in. Extension Warehouse and 3D Warehouse for example. Add Location needs a subscription.
