I have to create a site map of my property that will fit on a 8.5"x14" paper size. I am doing okay laying the structures to the 1" = 100’ scale, but the distances between structures of course are in inches not in feet. My question, how do I create a site plan of 18 acres that will fit on a 8.5"x14" paper with the distances showing in feet?
Do the modeling at real world dimensions and scale the thing down afterward.
This would be so much easier if you used SketchUp Pro because you could leave the model at full size and create a scale view of it in LayOut.
I did this in SU Pro and LayOut. The model is still at real world dimensions. This is 17.9 acres shown on legal sized paper.
Thank you, I was trying to hold off until the end of the year, but I guess I will need to start early.
Like I wrote, you can do it in the free web version but it’s not as convient.
