I just downloaded SketchUp 2015. It will not let me save a file. Any suggestions?

@mac7595 may be right, this sounds more like an OS issue than SketchUp. But without more info who can say? What OS? What exactly happens when “it will not let me save a file”? What were you trying to save where? Could you post a screenshot.
Sorry for the late response, I was out of town. Turns out Sketchup will not
save a new file to the Mac HD or the desktop but will save to a folder.
Don’t know why that should be but my latest effort saved fine to a
designated folder. Thanks for the quick response you gave.
