Rotating drawing HELP

Hello, is there any way to decrease the sensitivity or increase the stability of a drawing when rotating it in SketchUp?

I’m having rotation issues with Drawing2.skp as I want it to rotate exactly like Drawing1.skp which it can’t.

Would anyone be able to check Drawing1 and explain to me why it rotates better compared to Drawing 2 and provide a solution?

Could you let me know if there any tools or plugins I can use to make Drawing 2 rotate exactly like Drawing1?

Drawing2.skp (1.6 MB)

In the Model Info dialog, Units panel, there is a Angle Units section that allows toggling angle snapping, setting angle precision, and choosing snap angle degrees.

If I zoom out a little, the Drawing2 model behaves very well.

Your Drawing2 model is drawn with the blue axis pointing down.

It also have a lot of unneeded diagonals that can be deleted. Maybe you imported it from somewhere and forgot to check the Merge coplanar faces in the Options.

Many of the other diagonals can be smoothed for a better rendering like in Drawing1.

Redoing the whole object with SketchUp would reduce considerably the number of edges to smooth.

Here is your Drawing1 model with the diagonals deleted on the flat faces.

Thanks for the advice, can SketchUp by itself merge coplanar faces or do I need a plugin to do this?

Will merging coplanar faces make drawing 2 rotate exactly like drawing 1?
