ThomThom’s Edge Tools has a Simplify Curves tool that would probably do what you want. Look in the Extension Warehouse. Make sure you also install the required TT-Lib. Or Simplify Contours, also from the Extension Warehouse.

Thank you so much. “Simplify Contours” is what i needed. 
Become proficient with SU’s native tools and functions before resorting to plugins.
You can adjust the number of segments in each arc via Entity Info.
