Hi all, I am using 2017, when I use the rectangle tool on a face to try and cut out, it just creates another face…however, the circle tool and poly tool both work. I have tried to draw the rectangle with the line tool, making sure that each finishing point (angle) is on the face and this too just creates another face…I have redrawn the face several times to make sure that it is relevant to the axis, but still no luck… any ideas please?

VahePogossian, thanks for replying, I have just fixed the problem. I copied the problem section to a new file and redrew the face. It must have been very slightly out, as now it is ok.
