Recovery Issue

I am having an issue with the recovery of a file. I am 99% sure I saved this file to start with, and it’s only one day’s worth of progress that is gone. The option for a “recovered” model popped up on the home screen, but when I clicked on it it took me to a new model. I have no idea why this is happening.

That can be written like this too, and then doesn’t mind what drive letter you are using:

%LocalAppData%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2021\SketchUp\working\SKETCHUP\RecoveredFiles

For the original question, it looks like SketchUp may have crashed after saving the real file, and before the last auto save file had been removed. As the time on the real model is later than the auto save file, you could delete the copy in the RecoveredFile folder. But, make sure that the real file opens ok first.
