One thing to note is that model complexity can impact the size of the converted file. So a file that is a 10mb .SKP file could end up being ten times larger when it is converted into a .GLB or .USD file. As mobile device processing power and onboard memory increase, the maximum file size / complexity can also increase.
It’s been a couple of years since our last round of threshold testing, so it might be time to reconsider the maximum polygon count and file size that can be viewed in AR. We are also updating our transcoders which should be better and more efficient at conversion for AR file types.
