PrusaSlicer & infill showing on top of solid

Hi, I’m
trapdoor (5).stl (20.4 KB)
using solid inspector on sketchup and all seems ok, just short edges seem the only issue, but why on prusa slicer is the top surface always seemingly missing? I have made sure all surfaces face the right way too.

this is what I get in bambu.

But… from the photo you’re showing us, red is the top solid infill, right ? so… it doesn’t look like much missing ?

Thanks for replying, here’s some more images, can you see the internal structure is showing here better

That is a top face fill. I believe it is supposed to look like that.

I agree. There’s nothing wrong with the model. It would be a good idea to move it closer to the origin and you might consider removing the coplanar edges to prevent the possibility of making internal faces.

FWIW, I cleaned up the model. Take a look at this.

thanks for this. i scaled it down ot 96mm again to print. how did you clean it up by the way?

I removed unneeded edges and redrew the circles making them smoother by increasing the number of sides. I also got rid of the unnecessary object container. No reason to group a component. Just making the component was enough.

There should have been no need to scale it down. Just export it with the model units set to meters and import into the slicer in millimeters.

ok cool. i must get into the habit of doing it this way, build in meters. and make circles with more segs
