Yesterday I had problems with the latest scan essentials update. I imported a geolocated point cloud and accepted that it moved to the sketchup origin but it was placed elsewhere.
I started the modeling and it was impossible to take any point of the model as a reference, it was as if the cloud was too far away.
All the lines appeared broken. SketchUp restarted continuously. I tried to modify the coordinate transformation but it didn’t work.
I had to uninstall SketchUp and reinstall it to be able to return to the previous version of Scan Essentials.
There are indeed known issues with georeferenced data with the current version but to be sure, what version are you talking about ? Also what is the previous version you’re talking about ?
The current beta version should solve the georeferenced issue if you want to give it a try using this link
I was teaching Scan Essentials. I had the version starting with 10 and my students had the one starting with 9.
I had to cancel the session because it was impossible to model anything.
The current version into the extension warehouse was the one I had but the SketchUp installer had the previous one.
I had to uninstall SketchUp and install it again
