Problem with lines not showing up in 3D Warehouse model

I’m having trouble with a model I imported from 3D Warehouse. I want to have the edges of the model visible to make a lineart image, but whatever I do the lines do not show up.
The image shows what I see in the monochrome Face Style. I obviously have edges checked in Edge Style.
I would love some help with figuring out how to make them visible.

With that model probably the easiest thing would be to make a copy of the tram then explode it down to raw geometry, then turn on hidden geometry and select everything and unhide, then adjust the soften smooth dialog to get what you want.
